Paul Horschig's contract with BSG Chemie Leipzig would have expired after the current regional league season.
Now the 22-year-old has extended his contract by summer 2023, with an option to further extent. Only before the season the defensive all-rounder from VfB Auerbach had switched to the Leipzigers and was in the field in 28 league portraits so far.
The Leipziger are currently in 9th place in the Regionalliga Nordost. Team manager Daniel Heinze is happy about the contract extension: "Paul is a young player who already looks very experienced. He has recognized himself all year round through his operational readiness and his unconditional will". The player himself also expressed himself to extend the contract shortly before the derby against Lok Leipzig: "I am very happy to continue to be part of chemistry. I'm looking forward to another year here in Leutzsch."
